One of the leading youth choirs

in the country

In recent years, Fingal Youth Choir, conducted by Eoin Conway, has blossomed into a mature and dynamic group of young singers, each contributing his or her own voice to the collective whole. In 2017, Fingal Youth Choir was invited to perform for the Association of Irish Choirs (AOIC) in the National Concert Hall. They were a featured choir at Dublin International Choral Festival 2018 and also sang under David Brophy in St. Patrick's Cathedral.

In March 2019, inspired by the work of Pieta House - The Centre for the Prevention of Self-Harm or Suicide, the singers of FYC decided to support them by raising money. They chose to do so by recording and filming a song by Swedish DJ Avicii, who died by suicide. Their video featuring the song "Fade into Darkness" has reached over 10,000 people on Facebook and YouTube. In April, they went on an international tour to Berlin, Germany, where they performed in the iconic St. Marienkirche on Alexanderplatz. To finish the year in style, they took home a prize from Navan Choral Festival 2019.

FYC's success is largely down to the team of top-quality musicians and teachers working with the choir every week. Inspired by the ethos and energy of its founder conductor Michael T. Dawson, the singers and teachers continue to collaborate in pursuit of musical excellence.
